1 John 2:14 - One’s attitude toward God’s Word tells much about a person. Often people run from it because they are afraid that it will expose sin, but it is only trying to keep them from danger. As healthy believers, we need to be feeding on His Word and not the food from this world. Eugene helps us renew the importance of studying, memorizing and treasuring God’s Words to us.

Matthew 6:14-15 - It’s obvious that we are not perfect, nor do we live in a perfect world. The fact that we will sin today is inevitable, but the ready forgiveness that we receive from our Father in heaven, should flow from us also. We need to seek forgiveness from God and man, and to be exact in our confession and take responsibility for our actions, words and thoughts.

Men naturally like the easy road with little risk and low cost, but like the wise men who went searching for Jesus, we must be willing to set aside our laziness, selfishness and follow hard after Christ. What are you willing to pay for such a treasure as Jesus? Eugene helps us explore the narrow, difficult but rewarding path to finding true treasure in this life.

Matthew 5:14 - Believers are not to be mere reflectors of Christ’s light, but to illuminate the light to this dark, lost world. Our faith in Christ needs to be expressed in actions, not merely words. One light has the potential to bring sight in a dark place, but our lights will do no good if we hide them. Be encouraged through this message to let your light shine before all men, that our spectacular God would be put on display for all the world to see.
