About
Rev. Peter Deyneka, an immigrant from the former Soviet republic of Belarus, founded Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) in 1934. Rev. Deyneka had a fervent desire to reach his own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In those days under atheistic communism, one of the chief means of getting the Gospel into closed countries was radio. Over the decades, SGA produced and broadcast thousands of Russian-language Christian radio programs, which helped strengthen and encourage the oppressed, faithful Christians living behind the Iron Curtain. SGA still maintains this vast library of programs and is now adapting them to modern technology.
