2 Timothy 2:11-13 - This quotation from an ancient Christian hymn, which the Apostle Paul cites in his last letter to Timothy, shows all the profundity and significance of Christianity as a way of living. He tells what should be important for every Christian: the call of God’s children expressed in the devoted work for the Lord; a warning to careless living; and the hope that God’s children have when considering the mercy of the Lord.

Rom. 12:9-13 - We may have the wrong idea of what Christianity should look like. This is why we need the teaching of the Scriptures to give us right guidelines in our relationships with our brothers and sisters, unbelievers, and our enemies. We also need the Scriptures to give us a right understanding of ourselves. By using this guideline, we can and must turn from a life of pretence and hypocrisy to the genuine life.

Rom. 12:3-8 - The Church is the body of Christ through which He advances His cause in this world. However, in order that this body will not be “paralyzed” but really work, we should first of all, learn to have a proper attitude towards our ministry and ourselves. Secondly, we need to learn to see the needs of our neighbors and meet those needs.

Rom. 12:1-2 - The true faith not only leads to eternal salvation but also transforms our everyday lives. God becomes the focus of our life. Now our lives can and must be transformed in response to God’s mercy. His will is that our lives are yielded to Him as a sacrifice. As we do, we are transformed into His image.

Rom. 11:1-15 - It is our nature to expect events to develop from bad to worse. However, when God is acting, even the most difficult problems turn out to be a source of future blessings. It can be clearly seen particularly in the history of God’s relationship with the nation of Israel. On these grounds, we learn to have hope that God uses both difficult and joyful things in our lives to create something really good.

Acts 9:32-43 - Peter became a messenger of healing in the hand of the Lord, because he was ready to leave the comfort zone of his home church in Jerusalem and travel, where people are in need of his service. Through prayer and fellowship with the Lord, he puts himself in the hands of the Lord, and God wielded His power through Peter.
